Icebreaker

We’re excited to invite you to an icebreaker event designed to help you connect with fellow ecologists in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. This is a wonderful opportunity to network, share ideas, and make new connections.
This event is free to attend, and we encourage you to bring your enthusiasm and good vibes! Please note that food and (discounted) drinks will be available for purchase at the venue, so you can enjoy your favourites while mingling.
A short social walk (~1 hour) looking at some ecological sites at the Rotorua lakefront will be offered by Chris Bycroft near the end of this session.
Poster & Networking Reception
Tuesday 26 November, 5.20-7.00pm
Location: Energy Events Centre (conference venue)
Network with colleagues and friends while reviewing poster presentations of the latest research conducted by your peers. Exhibitors are also encouraged to stay for this function which takes place in the exhibition area.
Conference Dinner
Wednesday 27 November, 6.30-10.30pm
Location: Rydges Hotel 10 Tryon Street, Whakarewarewa, Rotorua
The Conference Dinner will feature NZES Awards and will be held at the Rydges Hotel. This will be a great opportunity to meet and network with other delegates and we encourage you to come along.
The dinner fee is subsidised for students in order to lower barriers for participation. Please see full details on the Registration page.
