Getting Here
From the Airport
The airport is located about 10 minutes' drive from Rotorua city centre. All major car agencies have service desks located at Rotorua Airport, otherwise the airport is serviced by shuttles, taxis and bus services.
Shuttles can be found outside Rotorua Airport's arrival gate. It is a cost effective way to travel into the city and nearby accommodation. Discounts apply if two or more people are travelling together. Please note that the journey can take longer at peak traffic times or when there are several drop-off along the way, so allow enough time to reach the your destination in time.
There are 11 bus routes which cover the Rotorua Urban area and its many tourist attractions. Bay Bus Route 10 travels between downtown Rotorua and the airport every hour, 7am - 6pm, Monday - Saturday, 7.30am and 4.30pm on Sundays. The bus stop is located on the left as you exit the main entrance doors at the airport. You can buy your ticket from the driver.
Taxi
Taxi services are available to and from Rotorua Airport. Taxis can be found outside Rotorua Airport's arrival gate. There are 2 main taxi companies that are located at the Airport.

App-based Transport
Uber and Ola operate to and from the airport. You need an account with the app and must order your car from your mobile phone.

Need to get between Auckland Airport and Rotorua?
If you aren’t flying and need a ride between the Auckland Airport and Rotorua we recommend contacting Ready2Roll Tours and Transfers. Simply email your name, flight #, arrival date and that you are part of the “NZES 2024 Conference” by one week prior to bookings@ready2roll.co.nz and they will confirm your pickup.
Cost each direction as below. By advising you are part of the “NZES 2024 Conference" (and if you are willing to be flexible in your pick up time), Ready2Roll Tours and Transfers will attempt to group you with other conference attendees needing a pick up at a similar time. If this occurs the rate will adjust based on total numbers in the shuttle but cannot be guaranteed in advance.
$370 for one person and $35 per every additional passenger, up to 10 passengers.
