This will be your first opportunity to meet and network with other delegates and we encourage you to come along. 

While there is no cost for delegates to attend this event, please register your attendance for catering purposes. A drink and canapes will be provided.




Mātauranga Māori Maori Journal Launch
Monday, 2 December

Location: Dining room - Te Kete Ika, Lincoln University
Time: 17.15 - 18.15

Māori have distinct cultural knowledge, values, and perspectives that establish rights, responsibilities and relationships with flora and fauna. There is an increasing recognition from scientists, practitioners, environmental managers, policy makers and others that mātauranga Māori, and working with Māori communities, enhances our understanding of ecology and provides valuable perspectives and frameworks to guide research, management and policy development. This launch event will be hosted by Manaaki Whenua to celebrate the publication of this special issue of the NZ Journal of Ecology.

Refreshments will be available.




Networking Dinner - The Laboratory
Monday, 2 December

Location: The Laboratory, Craft Brewers & Culinary Chemists, 17 W Belt, Lincoln
Time: 18.30

Join in for a relaxed social evening at Lincoln's very own Craft Brewery. For $25 enjoy a large pizza slice, 3 tapas items and chips. Dessert and beverages are optional and can be purchased on the night.

Poster & Networking Reception
Tuesday, 3 December

Location: Stewart Building Foyer, Lincoln University 
Time: 17.15 - 19.00

Network with colleagues and friends while reviewing poster displays of the latest research being conducted by your peers. While there is no cost for delegates to attend this event, please register your attendance for catering purposes. 




Conference Dinner
Wednesday, 4 December

Location: Dining room - Te Kete Ika, Lincoln University
Time: 18.00 - late
Speaker: Nicola Toki, DOC's Threatened Species Ambassador

The conference will conclude at the end of the last day with the NZES 2019 Conference Dinner which is being held on campus at Te Kete Ika. Join us for a 3 course meal and informative presentation by, Nicola Toki, while you unwind and relax after the week's conference.

Fees
Student Registration: The dinner is included, we do however request you sign up for catering purposes.
Professionals: The dinner is an optional additional cost of $70.00 per person.
