Call for Abstracts

Open for submissions until Sunday 25 August

NZES is calling to its members and members of the New Zealand Ecological community to submit abstracts for the upcoming December 2019 Conference. Submissions are welcome across all ecological topics. One of the key aims of NZES is to provide an opportunity for ecologists from all career stages a place to share their work annually. This conference has a very inclusive nature, all submissions are peer-reviewed. 

Guidelines

To submit your abstract please prepare to upload your abstract (without title, authors/affiliations or keywords) as a Microsoft Word or similar file. Your title and authors/affiliations will need to be entered into separate fields.  

• Submissions should be no more that 250 words. 
• You will be required to enter a bio for the Presenting Author (max. 100 words). 
  
• If you are submitting on behalf of the Presenter, please have their email address ready to include in the submission.
  

You will be able to choose from the following presentation types:

• Talk
  
• Poster
  
• Speed Talk
  
• Symposia (If you been asked to present as part of an accepted symposium or are interested in being part of one)
  

Note: For information regarding paper submissions for Student Day, please refer to the Student Day page.

Presenters will be provided the length of their talks and size of posters in their acceptance confirmation.

  Abstract deadline: 25 August 2019

  Presenters advised by: 04 September 2019

General Information

Language of Submission
All abstracts must be submitted in English or accompanied with an English version.

Word Count
Abstracts should be no longer than 250 words.

Review and Notification to Authors
All completed abstracts will be reviewed. You will be informed by email (from nzes@confer.co.nz) of the acceptance status of your abstract by 04 September 2019.

Registration
All presenters are required to register and pay the Conference registration fee in order to be included in the program and to present on site. Registration and payment of registration fee by presenters of accepted abstracts must be completed no later than 18 October, 2019.

Publication
By submitting an abstract, authors agree to publication in conference proceedings or similar by NZES.

Presentation
Oral presentations will be included within topical sessions of the official Conference programme. Posters will be on display throughout the conference and further details will be advised with confirmation email.
