NZES 2019 Conference

Call for Workshops

Submissions now open - Deadline 31 July 2019

NZES is calling to its members and members of the New Zealand Ecological community to put forward workshop proposals by 31 July 2019. Workshop proposals should consist of a title with a description that includes any proposed contributors/presenters.

Selected workshops will be included in the conference programme and are intended to provide an opportunity to share your knowledge and experience with a focus on practical application of skills or methodologies.

Workshops will be held on either the Sunday prior to the conference or the Thursday at the end of the conference and will generally run for either a full or a half day. NZES does not plan to charge a fee or supply catering.

Submission Guidelines

Submissions should provide a brief paragraph, no more than 250 words, outlining what the workshop will cover and including the following:

Topic
How it is relevant
Length of workshop
Min/Max size
Any proposed contributors/presenters
Any special requirements (classroom, lecture theatre or lab space, non-standard AV, other needs)

Submitting your Workshop Proposal

Please prepare to upload your submission as a Microsoft Word or similar file.
Your title and authors/affiliations will need to be entered into separate fields.
Please select Presentation Type as 'Workshop'

Categories
The conference will cover all aspects of ecology.

General Information

Language of Submission
All workshops must be submitted in English or accompanied with an English version.

Word Count
Submissions should be no longer than 250 words.

Review and Notification to Authors
All completed abstracts will be reviewed. You will be informed by email (from nzes@confer.co.nz) of the acceptance status of your abstract by 04 September 2019.

Registration
All presenters are required to register and pay the Conference registration fee in order to be included in the program and to present on site. Registration and payment of registration fee by presenters of accepted workshops must be completed no later than 18 October, 2019.
