Transportation

Getting Around Auckland

Auckland is a compact, well-connected city that’s easy and enjoyable to explore. Its public transport network includes buses, trains, and ferries, making it simple to get where you need to go.

From Auckland Airport to the City
Auckland Airport is located approximately 25 km (15.5 miles) from the city centre and is easily accessible by bus, car, or taxi.

SkyDrive Bus: Departs every 15 minutes and costs NZ$20 one way. It’s a convenient option for getting into the city.
Taxi: Taxis are available outside both the Domestic and International terminals. Fares to the city range from NZ$75to NZ$99, depending on company, traffic and time of day.
Uber: The designated pick-up zone for Uber at the International Terminal is outside door 11 by the arrivals area, while at the Domestic Terminal, it's in the 2nd lane in front of the terminal exit.
Driving: If you're driving, take the Southern Motorway (State Highway 1) northbound, exit at Wellesley Street, and follow the signs to the University.
