Students within a broad field of ore deposits research are invited and encouraged to submit abstracts and present their results at the 16^th SGA Meeting in Rotorua. The meeting will offer a great opportunity for students to interact with leading scientists, other young researchers and the industry in an inspired and informal environment.

The following incentives are being offered to encourage strong student participation at the 16^th SGA Meeting:

• Heavily discounted registration fees

The registration fees for all students are at a reduced level, SGA Student Members paying the lowest registration fees.

• Discounted Short Course fees

Short Courses will have discounted registration fees for students. Additionally, a free registration for one SGA Student Member is available at each short course. Application forms will be available for download from this website in early 2021.

• Discounted Field Trip fees

Field trips will have discounted registration fees for students. Additionally, a limited number of free registrations for SGA Student Members are offered on some field trips, with a maximum of one per selected field trip. Application forms will be available for download from this website in early 2021.

• Industry/Student Evening function - Monday 15 November

A function where students can meet Industry representatives. Included in the conference registration fee.

• Opportunity to apply for student travel grants

To support participation of students at the conference, a limited number of travel grants are open for SGA Students Members.  Students that have been SGA Student Members for at least two years (who have paid their membership fee for two consecutive years) and are senior authors of accepted abstracts are eligible to apply for a grant. Priority is given to students from economically disadvantaged countries.

• Best student oral and poster presentation prize

The best student oral and poster presentations will be awarded a certificate and a prize of 250 Euro, or equivalent in NZD.
