The SETAC AU and ACTRA community are invited to submit ideas for conference sessions and continuing education workshop proposals by 22 November 2024.

Shape the Future: Share Your Expertise

Do you have a unique vision for a focused session on a specific topic or issue? We invite you to submit an idea for a Session for the SETAC AU & ACTRA 2025 Conference.
To submit an idea, please provide the following information: 
  • Session Title: A clear and concise description of your session. 
  • Session Description: A detailed overview of the session's objectives, content, and expected outcomes. 
  • Target Audience: Identify the intended participants and their areas of interest. 
  • Call for Abstracts: Outline the specific topics you would seek abstracts for.
Please indicate at submission if you are willing to be the Session organiser if accepted. Responsibilities include: 
  • Curate a collection of talks: Identify and invite speakers who can contribute valuable insights to your session's theme. 
  • Review and select abstracts: Evaluate submissions based on their relevance to your session's goals. 
  • Chair the session: Moderate discussions and facilitate productive interactions among presenters and attendees. 

Leave a Lasting Legacy: Submit Your Continuing Education Workshop Proposal 

We invite you to submit a proposal for a Continuing Education Workshop for the SETAC AU & ACTRA 2025 Conference. 


To submit a proposal, please provide the following information: 

  • Workshop Title: A clear and concise description of your proposed workshop. 
  • Workshop Description: A detailed overview of the workshop's objectives, content, and expected outcomes. 
  • Target Audience: Identify the intended participants and their areas of interest. Note whether the workshop will be aimed at ACTRA or SETAC AU members (or both). 
  • Learning Objectives: Outline the specific skills or knowledge participants will gain from the workshop. 
  • Workshop Format: Describe the structure and activities of the workshop, such as lectures, group work, case studies, or hands-on exercises. 
  • Materials and Resources: List any necessary equipment, materials, or digital resources that will be required for the workshop. 
  • Facilitator Qualifications: Briefly describe your experience, qualifications, and expertise in the workshop's subject matter. 
As a Continuing Education Workshop Facilitator, you will: 

  • Design and deliver engaging sessions: Create interactive workshops that provide practical skills and knowledge to participants. 
  • Facilitate group activities and discussions: Guide participants through hands-on exercises, case studies, or group discussions. 
  • Provide materials and resources: Develop workshop materials, handouts, or digital resources to enhance the learning experience. 

We appreciate the time and effort involved in organising and presenting at our conference. To maintain a balanced and inclusive environment for all attendees, we require all session/workshop organisers and speakers to register at the standard rate. Accepted sessions/ continuing education workshops will be notified in December. Once confirmed, sessions will be featured in the call for abstracts which opens in February 2025 and continuing education workshop details will also be promoted on the website and in event newsletters.
