Call for Abstracts

The Local Organising Committee now invites you to submit your abstract for the joint SETAC AU/ ACTRA Conference. All abstracts must be submitted via the submission portal. 

Note: Registration will open in March. Information on how to apply for travel grants via SETAC AU and ACTRA will also be announced.

Guidelines

To submit your abstract please have your abstract on hand including a title and authors with affiliations.  We will also be requesting a profile image and a short biography for the presenter(s).

  • Submissions should be 300 words or less. 
  • If you are submitting on behalf of the Presenter, please have their email address ready to include in the submission.
  • All presenting authors must register for the conference.
  • All abstracts must be written in English.
  • Please CLICK HERE to read the full details of each session. Please carefully consider the one that best aligns to the content of your abstract.
  • Please ensure you submit your abstract by 2 May 2025.

    Presenters will be provided with details about the length of their talks and size of posters in the acceptance communication. 

    All invited speakers are also requested to submit an abstract using the submission process and deadline above.

    General Information

    Language of Submission
    All abstracts must be submitted in English.

    Word Count
    Abstracts should be 300 words or less.

    Review and Notification to Authors
    All submitted abstracts will be reviewed. You will be informed by email (from setac.actra@confer.co.nz) of the acceptance status of your abstract in May 2025.

    Registration
    All presenters are required to register and pay the conference registration fee in order to be included in the programme and to present at the conference. Registration and payment of registration fee by presenters of accepted abstracts must be completed no later than the early bird deadline of 28 June 2025.

    Publication
    By submitting an abstract, authors agree to publication in conference proceedings or similar.

    Presentation
    Oral presentations will be included within topical sessions of the official programme. Posters will be on display throughout the conference and further details will be advised in the acceptance email.
