Conference Buddy System

The SETAC AU / ACTRA conference is a great event for scientific discourse, increasing knowledge, and networking. However, the meeting can be a challenge for new attendees.

The Conference Buddy System matches long-term members of SETAC AU / ACTRA (Buddy Mentors) with first time, international, and student attendees (Buddy Mentees) at the conference. 

Buddy Mentors and Mentees will be matched by early July, given an opportunity to connect in advance of the conference and will be asked to meet in person at designated events during the conference. You will be expected to commit at least a couple of hours to your Buddy Mentor/Mentee during the conference, with the flexibility to extend the relationship after the conference.

Participants will be invited to attend the Buddy Breakfast (at no extra cost) on the first morning of the conference where you will have a chance to meet your Buddy Mentor/Mentee face-to-face. For those attending the conference dinner, tables will be reserved to seat programme participants together during this great social event.
