Warning: Fraudulent websites and booking agencies
Please be aware of the proliferation of fraudulent websites impersonating legitimate conference websites and posing as booking agencies. Payment is required at the end of the registration process by Credit/Debit Card (MasterCard or Visa accepted). All fees are expressed in $NZ and include GST of 15%. *Early Career Researcher Registration
To qualify for the discounted Early Career Researcher registration rate, you must be within seven years of graduating from your terminal degree. This time does not include parental or other relevant leave. Since this conference was originally scheduled for 2021, seven years can be counted up to 2021 (i.e. graduated after 2014 without any leave taken) to include those that would have been considered an ECR had the conference gone ahead in 2021.

Virtual Registration Includes:

  • Access to a live stream of all conference sessions
  • Access to recordings of sessions, these will be available soon after the session finishing and will be available until the end of 3 April 2023.
  • Access to all conference programme materials including abstracts via the virtual platform.
  • Ability to submit questions to oral and poster presenters via text during live stream of sessions.
  • Virtual poster session for all in person and virtual attendees planned (all attendees and presenters join online via their own devices).
  • Opportunity to network with both in person and virtual attendees via the platform ‘meeting hub’
  • Those that have indicated online attendance and been accepted for oral presentation will have the option to present live or provide a recording.

Accompanying Person
This option is if you wish to bring someone along to the catering breaks each day, the Welcome Reception on Sunday 29 January and the Farewell Party on Friday 3 February. The cost is $550 per person. We will be running an accompanying person’s programme which will be an additional cost. Details on the progamme and activities will be available later in the year.


Additional Guest Welcome Reception and Farewell Party Tickets
If you would like to purchase additional guest tickets to the Social Functions, the cost is $70 for the Welcome Reception and $120 for the Farewell Party. You will be able to purchase multiple tickets when registering.

All registration fees are in NZ$ and include 15% GST.

Registration cancellation and refund policy

  • Cancellations must be notified in writing by email to iavcei2023@confer.co.nz 
  • Cancellations received on or before 7 January 2023 will be charged an administration fee of $100.
  • No refund will be given for registration cancellations received after 7 January 2023 (including “no shows” at the conference).
  • Registrations can be transferred to another delegate at any time.
  • If for reasons beyond the control of the attendee (reason must be provided), attendees will be permitted to change from in person to virtual registration and will be refunded minus the virtual registration fee up to 7 January 2023.  After 7 January, requests will be considered by the committee on a case by case basis due to costs being committed in relation in person numbers registered at this point.  Please contact if you need to change your registration type.

Insurance

It is strongly recommended and your responsibility to have insurance to cover medical, travel, and registration expenses in the event of unforeseen circumstances
