Guidelines & Instructions

Oral Abstract Presenters

Each presentation is allocated 15 min (12 min speaking + 3 min questions).

Presenters are asked to upload their presentations in the lecture room that they will be presenting in. Where possible we ask this be done two breaks before your scheduled presentation, but at the latest in the break immediately prior to your session. This will ensure the smooth running of the conference

Please bring your presentation on a usb stick. Lecture theatres have a data projector (16x9 widescreen), lectern computer, screen and sound system along with internet (if you require internet for your presentation please let us know in advance as we will require a UC staff member log in and activate it).

A UC volunteer will be on hand to assist you in the room you are presenting in. Please check-in with them during the breaks prior to your session to ensure that your presentation is correct and ready to go.

If you have videos or animations in your presentation, please embed the files in your presentation and transfer the video file together with your presentation.

Apple mac users - please ensure your presentation can run on Windows. If any additional equipment is required, please advise us in advance. To aid transition speed, plugging in your own computer is not encouraged, instead presenters are asked to use the lectern computer available.

Your poster will be on display for the duration of the day that your Poster Group has been allocated. However, we will ask poster presenters to stand with their poster at the designated Poster Session times so that people can converse with you about your paper. These poster sessions are scheduled on Monday during the Icebreaker and Poster Session and on Tuesday during afternoon tea and the Poster Session.

Please plan to print your poster and bring it to the conference
  • The poster format should be A0 portrait in size.
  • Please bring your poster to the registration desk on arrival and you will be provided with the materials for hanging it up.
  • A UC volunteer will be on hand to assist you in locating your allocated space.
