CHA Site Tours - Thursday 28 November
Departing 9.00am from AUT
Drop off Auckland CBD around 3.00pm - 3.30pm
There will be an option of 2 different site tours for you to join, each visiting 3 or 4 sites with a combination of community housing projects, and larger scale projects with a range of host partners including Community Housing Providers, Kāinga Ora and private developers. We will look at mixed developments, different housing typologies, infrastructure and community building.
If you have already registered for the CHA 2024 Conference, you will receive an email asking you to sign up to the site tours. If you have not yet registered to attend the conference, you will be able to sign up via the registration form if places are still available.
Catering: Packed lunches will be provided.
Clothing: Please wear closed toe shoes and bring a raincoat/umbrella on the day if rain is forecast. PPE: High visibility vests will be provided and must be worn.
Transport: Please meet at the conference registration desk at 8.30am on Thursday 28 November to pick up your packed lunch. Buses will pick up outside Auckland University of Technology – exact pick-up location details will be confirmed to attendees at a later date.
Site Tour 1 – Larger scale housing partnerships tour
This will focus on the large scale projects with visits to Tāmaki, Oranga and Mt. Roskill. Option to get a taxi from Mt Roskill for those that need to catch a late afternoon flight.

Site Tour 2 – Community partnerships tour
This will visit Community Housing sites in Mt Wellington and Otara, a large scale housing project in Mangere, and a community housing partnership mixed development in Manukau, before returning to AUT. Option to get a taxi from Manukau for those that need to catch a late afternoon flight.
