Conference Airport Bus Transfer from Auckland to Rotorua & Return

During the online registration process, please let us know if you are interested in a bus transfer from Auckland to Rotorua, or back to Auckland at the end of the conference. 

The bus from Auckland on Sunday 29 June will leave Auckland City at 1.30pm and depart Auckland Airport at 2.30pm, arriving in Rotorua about 5.30pm, in time for the Welcome Function at 6pm. This bus is timed to pick up those arriving on the Qantas/Emirates flight from Brisbane (departing Brisbane at 8.40am, arriving at 1.45pm).

The return bus from Rotorua on Wednesday 2 July will depart Rotorua at 2.00pm, visiting the Onetai timber bridge at 4pm, arriving Auckland Airport at 6pm and Auckland City at 7pm. This bus will allow for participation in the morning site visits to Red Stag or Scion, and lunch at the Scion café. 

There will be a cost for this service which will be dependent on numbers travelling but it will be a cost-effective option. 
The departure point in Auckland City will be announced later, being close to major hotels.

Transport in Rotorua

From the Airport
The airport is located about 10 minutes' drive from Rotorua city centre. All major car agencies have service desks located at Rotorua Airport, otherwise the airport is serviced by shuttles, taxis and bus services. 

Airport Shuttles
Shuttles can be found outside Rotorua Airport's arrival gate. It is a cost effective way to travel into the city and nearby accommodation. Discounts apply if two or more people are travelling together. Please note that the journey can take longer at peak traffic times or when there are several drop-off along the way, so allow enough time to reach the your destination in time. Bus/Public Transport
There are 11 bus routes which cover the Rotorua Urban area and its many tourist attractions. Bay Bus Route 10 travels between downtown Rotorua and the airport every hour, 7am  - 6pm, Monday  - Saturday, 7.30am and 4.30pm on Sundays. The bus stop is located on the left as you exit the main entrance doors at the airport. You can buy your ticket from the driver. Taxi
Taxi services are available to and from Rotorua Airport. Taxis can be found outside Rotorua Airport's arrival gate. There are 2 main taxi companies that are located at the Airport.

App-based transport
Uber and Ola operate to and from the airport. You need an account with the app and must order your car from your mobile phone.
