Each Head of Student Administration or equivalent is invited to nominate a future leader for a scholarship to attend the HoSA 2019 Conference. Self-nominations from eligible people will also be accepted, so pass it on too.
Nominating for a scholarship is an important opportunity for you to give your up and coming leaders exposure - to network across the sector, to reflect on key current issues for higher education management, and to bring new ideas and perspectives to our conference proceedings.
Hurry, though: time is short. Your nomination must be made by 29 July. Fortunately, it is quick and easy for you to do – details are below.
Your nomination affirms and endorses the development trajectory of a future leader from your institution.
The Future Leaders Scholarship covers the full conference registration, travel and accommodation in Wellington, to a value of AU$2,500.
Recipients will be invited to lunch with HOSA Board members and the conference team on Wednesday 28 August, first day of the conference, to discuss how they can get best value from the HOSA network and from the conference. There is no requirement to present at the conference itself.
After the conference, scholarship recipients will write a short reflective piece (approximately 500 words) which will be published in the ATEM weekend newsletter.
Available to: Current contract and ongoing staff at an Australian or New Zealand higher education institution with at least 12 months’ experience at their current institution. Staff are not expected to be at the Director or Registrar level.
Number of Scholarships:A maximum of eight scholarships will be awarded with a limit of one scholarship per institution.
Award value:The Scholarships will cover conference registration, travel and accommodation, to a value of AU$2,500, to attend the HoSA 2019 Conference.
