While conference delegates are welcome to attend (no registration required), this trip is all about engaging members of the public with their local landscapes and geology. Our aim is to capture people’s imaginations with engaging narratives about the rocks at their very feet! Taking place over one day (Sunday 12 November) at multiple locations around the Wellington region, members of the public are invited to make their own way to each site at designated times to see and hear about the local geology from one of our awesome geoscience volunteers. Presentations at each site will last ~30 – 60 mins with time for questions afterwards.
