Description: This is an interactive learning session with lots of small group work where you will get to meet other practitioners, share your knowledge from the frontline and respond to case studies. Sharpen up on your tenancy management skills and be tested on your knowledge of the RTA.
This workshop will focus on pets in rental properties, including pet bonds, pet policies, and exploring what is working well and where challenges remain. Participants are encouraged to share relevant case studies, examples, questions, or experiences to help inform the discussion. Contributions can be sent to cha202@confer.co.nz prior to the workshop.
Audience: Those working in the tenancy management space – practitioners and operational managers, sustaining tenancies workers, and tenant advocates. All are encouraged to attend as the RTA is the single most important piece of legislation that guides and underpins the work that you do. We should all know about it!

Description: Nearly two years on from its first workshop at the CHA 2024 conference, we revisit the progress of work on tenant surveys, questions and delivery. This workshop offers participants a look-back at how the survey has evolved, including the development of the question set. There will be an update on the development of a survey‑hosting platform and dashboard, with an opportunity for workshop participants to take part in a live demo and see how the data experience for future tenants works in practice. Workshop attendees will play an active role in shaping the future of the project by working together to consider what questions should be asked, what matters most to providers and tenants, and what kinds of analysis and reporting the sector needs from digital tools as we prepare for tomorrow.
Audience: For anyone interested in data, service improvement, digital tools, and wellbeing measures.
