• We are a New Zealand Business and all transactions are in NZ dollars and are inclusive of 15% GST

Payment 

• All transactions are in NZ$ and inclusive of 15% GST (GST #67-050-711)
• Payment must be made at the end of the registration process by credit card; a receipt will be emailed with your confirmation
• If payment is not made, the registration process will not be complete and your registration details will not be saved

The Wildlands Student Day will be held on Monday 30 November at the Sir Paul Reeves Building, AUT, Auckland. This event will be run by students for students. Overall, it should be an informative, fun day for all! There is no extra cost for Student Day. The Committee has put together six Field Trips to share local knowledge and experiences with our ecological community:

• Option 1: Ambury Regional Park - Shorebirds, Farming History and Urban Interfaces.
• Option 2: Urban Ecology and Restoration Perspectives - AUT Living Laboratories native forest restoration experiments.
• Option 3: Ultra-Urban Ecology Walk of Wynyard Quarter and Waterfront
• Option 4: Behind the Scenes at Auckland Museum - Collections and Biodiversity
• Option 5: Rangitoto Island- Volcanic Landscapes and Island Ecology
• Option 6: UAV Demonstration and Workshop - Ecological Applications

All field trips will run concurrently on Friday 04 December. Visit the Field Trips website page for more details.

Field Trip Declaration of Consent

Field trips are run by volunteers, often with support from commercial or not-for-profit organisation, who will the health and safety procedures.

By submitting this form, you confirm that:

• You understand the trip is delivered and overseen by a volunteer and supporting organisation.
• You will follow all safety instructions provided.
• You acknowledge that outdoor activities carry inherent risks.
• You are responsible for your own safety and will act responsibly throughout the activity.
• You consent to receiving medical assistance in an emergency and accept any related costs.
• Event organisers are not liable for incidents arising from inherent risks, except as required under New Zealand law.
• Only basic registration information is collected for administration; please advise any special health information to the operator of these trips either on the day or by emailing nzes@confer.co.nz so the event organisers can put you in touch direct.

Field Trip Cancellation Policy

By booking a symposium field trip, delegates agree to the following cancellation terms:

• Cancellation by 30 September 2026:
  A full refund will be provided, or delegates may swap to another available trip option, subject to availability.
• Cancellation after 30 September 2026 due to circumstances beyond the organisers' control:
  We will endeavour to provide a full refund, less any non-recoverable deposits or costs already incurred.
• Cancellation after 30 September by attendee: No refund provided if unable to be resold.

General Terms: All trip bookings are subject to the event’s overall registration Terms and Conditions.

We have negotiated special rates for NZES & SCBO Conference delegates at a number of Auckland's leading accommodation providers. We encourage you to stay at the selected conference accommodation options as this gives you more opportunity to network with conference delegates outside of the conference hours.
