Evening Activities

Wellington Museum

Location: Wellington Museum (with refreshments provided in the Attic, upstairs)
Date and Time: Tuesday 12 November, any time between 7.00 - 10pm

Start your conference experience with an informal evening exploring Wellington Museum. The Wellington Museum is awesome. It contains a treasure trove of exhibits and stories from the explorations of the Polynesian navigator Kupe and the Haowhenua earthquake circa 1460 AD, right through to the memorable Absolutely Positively Wellington campaign which started back in 1991, and the Covid-19 pandemic. Newly displayed taonga from the museum’s collection tell unique stories of the city from Nicky Hagar’s seized and smashed hard drive to Dame Catherine Healy’s Umbrella. Light refreshments will be provided upstairs in the Attic, which itself has lots of weird whacky and wonderful displays, in a steam-punk styled exhibit space.. This will be a great opportunity to mix and mingle.
