Plenary 2: MBIE update and Joint Committee for Seismic Assessment of Existing Buildings

This session will provide a brief update on the MBIE Seismic Work Programme and describe activities of the Joint Committee for Seismic Assessment of Existing Buildings (JCSAEB).  The Joint Committee is comprised of representatives from the five organisations who developed the Seismic Assessment Guidelines; namely, NZSEE, SESOC, NZGS, EQC, and MBIE.  The session will summarise activities of the Joint Committee over the past year and provide some insights on future efforts of the committee to improve the Seismic Assessment Guidelines.
