Abstract guidelines

Original submission deadline 15 February 2019. Late submissions accepted for posters through 31 March 2019.

  • Use standard abbreviations only. Within the body of the abstract, when using abbreviations spell out the name in full at the first mention and follow with the abbreviation in parenthesis. Abbreviations may be used in the title, provided the name in full is outlined in the body of the abstract.
  • Abstracts are to be no more than 250 words. Please also include a short biography for the principal presenting author.
  • Use the Microsoft Word or LaTex templates provided for your abstract submission 
  • Abstracts must contain sufficient information so that if published it will be a complete report independent of presentation. The abstract should not contain statements alluding to results or conclusions not presented within the text.
  • Please limit your abstract to one page at most. If you wish to use any graphical object (graph, photo, drawing, etc) make sure that the resolution of the object is sufficiently high and the object is centered on the page.
  • When you have finished your abstract, convert the document into portable document format (PDF). If you cannot convert your doc file into PDF format, please contact secretary@nzip.org.nz
  • The abstract submission portal will only accept PDF files.
