On behalf of the Organising Committee, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 2026 Concrete NZ Conference in Wellington. Following the success of last year's event, where we introduced a new two-day format that was met with overwhelmingly positive feedback, we are delighted to continue with this structure for 2026.
The Concrete NZ Conference has established itself as the premier gathering for professionals seeking to stay at the forefront of developments in construction, design, and materials technology. In addition to the technical programme, which will bring together an impressive array of speakers from New Zealand and abroad presenting on diverse topics, there are numerous opportunities for engagement and interaction. Attendees can look forward to the popular lightning talks session, along with opportunities to share their own expertise through paper presentations.
Beyond the technical sessions, we've planned numerous occasions for meaningful connections with industry colleagues. The social programme includes the President's Reception and formal dinner events, creating the perfect environment for relationship building and conversation. These gatherings are often where the most valuable discussions happen, allowing you to exchange ideas and experiences with peers in a relaxed setting. The formal dinner will once again celebrate excellence in our industry through the presentation of awards. And of course, the Concrete Cricket Bat competition returns; a unique blend of engineering ingenuity and friendly rivalry that has become a popular feature of the conference.
Our Wellington venue will host an extensive exhibition area featuring trade displays and live demonstrations, giving you the opportunity to explore the latest products, innovations, and technologies from industry suppliers and manufacturers. This conference represents a unique opportunity to learn, connect, and be inspired alongside peers who share your passion for concrete.
I'm looking forward to welcoming both returning attendees and first-timers to what promises to be an outstanding event.
See you in Wellington!
