Warning: Fraudulent websites and booking agencies
Please be aware of the proliferation of fraudulent websites impersonating legitimate conference websites and posing as booking agencies. For your safety we advise all attendees to only use the official conference website for all conference related bookings; accommodation, trade exhibition and registration. Conferences & Events Ltd is the official accommodation agency for all hotel rooms that have been secured. Any other organisation contacting you to offer hotel rates should be ignored – they are most likely a scam and highly likely to result in you losing any money you pay to them.

This year we have initiated a ‘paying it forward’ scheme with two of our plenary speakers, Prof Awschalom and Simpson. With their kind support, we are able to support free registration for a limited number of students who would otherwise struggle to attend that meet the following criteria:

We understand that circumstances can change. Cancellations must be notified in writing by email to amn10@confer.co.nz. Cancellations received on or before 20 December 2022 will be charged an administration fee of $100. No refund will be given for registration cancellations received after 20 December 2022 (including “no shows” at the conference). Registrations can be transferred to another delegate at any time with no change fee.
Our main aim is to hold an in-person
conference in Rotorua from 7 – 10 February 2023. By this time, it is hoped New Zealand's
management of COVID-19 will put us in the fortunate position of being able to
host major conferences and events, however we have seen that this can change
very quickly and there is still a risk of disruption between now and the
conference. If for reasons beyond the control of the registered attendee
relating to COVID-19 (such as government-imposed lock downs or travel
restrictions), please contact amn10@confer.co.nz
to confirm the situation that is preventing you from being able to attend.
If restrictions in New Zealand prevent the event from being able to happen in-person on the planned dates, in the first instance organisers will consider postponement or shifting to a virtual format. In the unlikely case of the organiser having to make the decision to cancel the event, you will be fully refunded.
It is strongly recommended and your responsibility to have insurance to cover medical, travel, and registration expenses in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
