Welcome to the Industrial Waters 2023 conference

It is my pleasure to invite you to the 2023 Industrial Waters conference in Kirikiriroa- Hamilton.  Following on from our two highly successful conferences in Wellington we are moving north to the hometown of our President, Geoff Young.  On the banks of NZ’s largest river, the Waikato, Hamilton is the economic centre of the region’s dairy industry which produces more than 25% of New Zealand's milk supply.  Along with the rest of NZ, this sector is not immune to the need to change and evolve, due to increased environmental awareness, water reforms and the need to be more sustainable for future generations.

The water services reforms have not just dominated discussions in the last few years amongst those in the water sector. They have been, and continue to be, a controversial topic across all areas of New Zealand society.  However, the aims of the proposed water services reforms are often lost in the debate.

The Industrial Waters conference is your opportunity to ensure that these aims are at the forefront of the decision-making process.  This Forum is the space that will encourage you to discuss, learn, exchange ideas, share information, find solutions, and help shape future of the water sector in Aotearoa New Zealand into the mid-21st century.

NZTIWF are a group of like-minded individuals with a focus on Industrial Waters, comprised of members coming from all sectors of the Industry, including industrial, agricultural and food manufacturers of trade waste, regional councils, local councils (trade waste & compliance officers), regulators, liquid waste operators, consenting authorities for trade waste, process engineers, hands-on suppliers, environmental scientists and students.  Join us and be part of making a difference.

"It is the delegates who will make this Conference a success, from the quality of your papers to your engagement with the speakers."

We look forward to meeting you in Kirikiriroa-Hamilton

 Ngā mihi nui

 Jennifer Leadley,
NZTIWF Executive Officer
