On behalf of all New Zealand universities and the Wellington organising committee, we are writing to express how much we are looking forward to hosting you in Wellington, New Zealand’s capital city, for the 2019 Heads of Student Administration Conference.
The theme of this year’s conference is Capitalising on Connections. This explores the opportunities presented through collaborations and partnership and the sense that we need to connect both within our institutions and externally with our partners and communities. Topics might include: sharing insights into service design and delivery, case studies on successful change or collaboration, using data to improve performance, co-creating service outcomes with students and partners, transformational change and investing in new pathways or service models.
We would like to show you everything that Wellington has to offer. Throughout the conference, you’ll be exploring our city — our welcome event will be hosted in the Beehive, the colloquial name for New Zealand’s Parliament Buildings, the conference will be held on the Wellington waterfront at Te Wharewaka o Pōneke which is home to three traditionally carved Māori waka, and the conference dinner will be held at Te Papa Tongarewa, the Museum of New Zealand.
