Application to host a workshop, discussion, or training

Each day of the Symposium will include an open period with 1- to 3-hour sessions for workshops, community discussions, and training sessions. If you, your organisation, or company would like to host one of the sessions, please upload your completed application below by 23 January 2026. Decisions will be announced by the first half of February 2026.
Where possible, we ask that organisations contribute to the cost of the room for their workshop, discussion, or training. However, we understand that this is not possible for all organisations.
Request for a Symposium meeting room

If your organisation, working group, or research collaboration would like to have a short meeting (1-4 hours) during the Symposium, we anticipate having a 24-person meeting room available from 9am - 5pm each day of the Symposium. Please upload your completed application below by 23 January 2026, although applications will be considered after this date if space is available.
Events outside of the Symposium

If your organisation would like to hold an event outside of the Symposium, such as an all-day training or meeting before or after the Symposium, our local organising committee may be able to secure space at Victoria University of Wellington or Earth Sciences New Zealand’s Greta Point Campus. There will be a charge for the space, which will be determined by the host organisations. We can discuss this with you once we know your requirements.
